California (here we come!)

Just booked some tickets for a trip to California next month with the boo!  I'm super excited for palm trees and sunshine.  I've been to Southern California once before, but it was for business so I didn't get a chance to do any sight-seeing.  We're going to LA, Orange County, and San Diego.  Any ideas for where we should go/stay/eat/do?
