Ensemble: Daytime Sparkle

Just like a raccoon, I'm naturally drawn towards anything that has a little shine or sparkle.  I've had this skirt for a year or two, but thought because of the sequins it could only work for night.  Recently I challenged myself to get more use out of my closet instead of just wearing the same pieces on repeat, so I decided to try to make this skirt work for daytime.  One blazer and long sleeve tee later, I think I accomplished the task.




Blazer - NY&Co, Shirt - H&M, Necklaces - LOFT and F21, Skirt - Express, Booties - BCBG



I was rocking these amazing booties when I took these photos, but then realized I can't actually wear them for more than 20 minutes without wanting to cut my feet off at the ankles, so I settled for a more practical flat boot.  Poor booties, these rarely make it out of the house.  Such is the life of a gorgeous but impractical shoe.

    At this point in my life, I've beaten my feet into submission and they will wear just about any heel for any length of time and not complain.

    BUT BEFORE THAT! I would buy those gel inserts that go under the ball of your foot. They have gel inserts for just about any part of your foot, wherever your weight lies in heels, and I swear to you, they're a dream. You can wear all of the high heels! I wear five inch heels all the time, for hours.*
