But while it might be a terrible way to carry your beer, it looked like an excellent way to display some sparkly tea lights:
You need:
- One beer paddle
- Two contrasting colors of paint (I used a light mint and gold)
- A small brush
First I painted two coats of mint over the entire paddle. Yes, this is mint colored paint, even though it looks white.
After letting it dry (about 30 minutes), I then used the gold to fill in the recessed circles.
And voila! Project complete, leading the boyfriend to believe you did something productive with your Sunday and didn't just lay around watching reruns of Parks and Rec for hours and hours.

I do a lot of candle work and can never find a perfect sized candle holder, so all of the wax drips away! This is realy cool and you made it sound super easy.

This is cute! It would make a great housewarming gift!
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute! I usually see these when I do "flights" of beer (never got why they were called that anyways), but it's such a great idea to use it to hold tea lights!
ReplyDeleteOh ha that makes more sense to use it for a flight. I was picturing someone trying to walk around with four bottles of beer on there and spilling them everywhere.
ReplyDeleteGood call, maybe I'll stock up on some more ;)
ReplyDeleteHmm yes probably tricky. Wouldn't be so hard to make something similar if you had the right tools.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have it in the entryway of my house right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'll check it out!
