Review: Kraft Fresh Take Mix

I was walking through the loop a couple of weeks ago on one of the hottest days of the year, when someone shoved a couple free samples of Kraft's new Fresh Take seasoning mixes into my hands.  Their strategy for passing out samples left something to be desired (why were they handing out something that needs to be refrigerated on a 100 degree day?) but I thought I'd try it anyway.

So what is it?  A mixture of spices, breadcrumbs, and cheese neatly parceled in a plastic bag.  The idea is, you open the separators on the bag to mix the spices and cheese together, and toss chicken (or whatever protein you want) in the bag before baking.

Overall, I thought it was easy, and was pretty tasty.  The boyfriend gave it a positive review too.  The chicken ended up crispy, not cheesy like I expected, and the spice mix was pretty good.

But would I actually buy it?  Probably not.  Because, really, how hard is it to throw some spices and cheese in a ziplock bag?  If you're looking to save a minute or two or don't want to think about what you're making it would be right for you. I personally would rather put the ingredients together myself so I knew exactly what was in it.
