This weekend...
This weekend I...
... Became a mommy!! Of three tiny aquatic frogs. They're super adorable. So far, we have named all of them "Teej".
... Went to IKEA for the first time. I know, right. What have I been doing my whole life?
... Had a delicious homecooked meal made by my almost husband, complete with my first Christmas beer of the season.
... Took the boy on a trip to the outlet mall, "for him to buy clothes."
... Had to hide in our bathroom from the tornados. Luckily I brought my computer with. Also, more luckily, a tornado did not go through Chicago.
... Attempted to go on a JCrew Factory binge, but sadly was not successful. Or maybe not sadly.
... Tried making mashed cauliflower for the first time. Aaaaaaand successfully tricked people into thinking it was potatoes!
... Made it up to Milwaukee to visit some of my friends. There has certainly been a lot of Wisconsin in our lives recently.
... Had a yummy breakfast with my parents.
... Got a new iPhone 5! It's my new baby. Well, after the frog babies.
... Went to a Friendsgiving party, hello Thanksgiving number one of four!
I hope you had a good one!

So funny–I had three frogs growing up! Eventually I got grossed out that one of them had to eat live crickets though and I had to give it away haha.
ReplyDeleteAww sounds like a great weekend! I've still never been to IKEA but the closest one is like 2 hrs away, so there's that.
ReplyDeleteOh man, once you set foot in IKEA, you can never leave. Literally.
ReplyDeleteThe froggies are SO cute!
ReplyDeleteAWW! Congrats on being a mommy ;)

A mommy twice in one weekend?? Very impressive, girl. I had aquatic frogs growing up! My brother pretty much hoarded them all so I never got to name one. Sounds like a fun weekend!

Haha I know right, so many new babies ;) Sad that you never got to name them. We picked other names now that we know them better - Franklin (from Arrested Development) and Omar (I assume this comes from some sports player that Jeff likes but I've already forgotten haha).
ReplyDeleteThanks Alissa!!
ReplyDeleteAs their mommy, I definitely agree ;)
ReplyDeleteLuckily they gave me a map, which I actually had to use more than once ;)
ReplyDeleteAn excellent excuse haha. I would not recommend going there if you don't have a plan for what you want/need.
ReplyDeleteOh these little guys don't eat live crickets, they live underwater so they eat little pellet-y things. My sister and I had a number of pets growing up that ate live crickets and it totally grossed me out. They would always escape and then we'd just have crickets roaming the house - I woke up once with one on my face!
