Fall Style Now

Whenever I get new clothes, I get super excited and want to wear them right away, even if they aren't quite weather or season appropriate.  Such was the case with this plaid button down and the booties I picked up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  I figured I would have to wait to wear them, but this button down is surprisingly light, and with some (super short) shorts these boots feel seasonally appropriate.  While I'm loving that they work for summertime, I'm also excited to layer this shirt under a sweater come fall, and rocking these boots with some skinny or boyfriend jeans or even with tights and a skirt.

Do you wear your new clothes right away?  Or are you sitting on your fall purchases, waiting for cooler weather?

    Yes, yes, yes. Love this transitional outfit! It's cooler here in KC this week (which is crazy, I think the world might be ending...?), and you've got me craving my plaid flannels. :)

    I do the same thing, I just can't wait to wear things. This is such a cute outfit, I certainly can't blame you for wanting to wear those boots immediately!

    Love your look! You're looking fab! I'm trying not to buy anything for fall since I bought so much at the end of last winter. So I'm just looking forward to wearing all that stuff. (Even though I've worn everything at least once already.)

    I'm the same way. As soon as I get something new, I feel like all of my other clothes are irrelevant until I wear that new piece. This is probably why I haven't bought a ton of fall clothes yet...or at least, nothing I can't make work now.

    I love this outfit and can see everything except the shorts working well into the next few months.

    I always love to wear new clothes right away! I know I should wash them, but confession, sometimes I don't. I'm just that excited to wear new things! This works so well with the shorts too!

    Okay, I've had this shirt in my online shopping cart for weeks. Do you feel that it fits true to size? I just might have to take the plunge... You look adorable! I'm the same way with getting new clothes. Actually, my worst habit is wearing something new a TON and then letting it fall by the wayside when I get something newer. I'm trying to get better about that!

    I like the outfit. My favorite is the plaid shirt. I like that its lightweight - it makes it easier to couple it with other items.
