This weekend I...
...Sorted through a bunch of pictures my mom gave me for a wedding DIY and came across this gem. Oh, the bright sweatsuit and matching socks. I truly was a child of the '80s.
...Went out to Nightwood for a little dinner date with Jeff and tried a bunch of their seasonal items, like roasted squash bisque and roasted scallops with apples - yum!
...This was Thursday so not technically the weekend, but met up with a bunch of my former coworkers for drinks at Watershed, a little speakeasy with a huge cocktail menu.
...Dropped off my engagement ring to get it cleaned and resized, and then spent the rest of the weekend thinking I had lost it every time I noticed my finger. I don't get it back until Wednesday :( But on the bright side, we also picked out our wedding bands at the same time!
...Did a little volunteering for Destination Imagination. I was technically teaching at a skills workshop, but really I was just playing improv games with a bunch of little kids.
...Almost failed at filling out another wedding registery - we were at Macy's for about two hours before we managed to scan anything! I just got a little too excited in the Kate Spade china section is all ;)
...Went to a housewarming party for one of my old coworkers who just moved back to Chicago.
...Had dinner at Asian Outpost. It's the second time I've been there and I was still confused by the menu. Sushi next to fried chicken next to ramen next to ribs.
...Started decorating for Christmas, shhhhh, don't tell! I would wait until next weekend, but we have so many activities for Thanksgiving that I don't know when I'd get it done. Of course while decorating I had to watch Christmas movies, it's practically required, right?
