...Spent the weekend away in Lake Geneva, WI for a friend's wedding! The wedding was outside and absolutely gorgeous, but also so cold! I think it was in the 40's for the ceremony. The picture above is the view from our balcony, but that backdrop was also the background for their ceremony - stunning! We were at the Grand Geneva which, amusingly, was originally a Playboy Club & Hotel, and was a fun place to stay because it's a huge resort.
...Besides the wedding, we got to do a lot of wandering around Lake Geneva since we were there for the whole weekend. We got to check out Ristoranté Brissago at the resort (where we scored some free wine - way to my heart ;) and Oakfire which had an amazing breakfast. And yes, that really was my first ever Eggs Benedict - runny yolks always freaked me out, but all the sudden I love them! We also did some wandering around the lake and downtown and did a little wine tasting at New World.
...Back in Chicago we met up with Jeff's family for a little pizza and to cheer on the Cubs.
...Managed to get all of the supplies for our Halloween costumes. A little hint - all of my Netflix binge watching is coming in very handy.
