This weekend I...
...had a night at home by myself while Jeff was volunteering with his youth group, and spent it catching up on Real World and The Challenge. Yes, those shows are still on tv, and yes, I definitely still watch ;)
...Grabbed breakfast to go at Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits (which just opened in our neighborhood - yay!), and had the equivalent of avocado toast on a biscuit instead, which, let me tell you, is an awfully good idea ;) And then had the song "Bang Bang" stuck in my head the rest of the day.
...Went on a hunt for new shoes, but came home with this bright orange eyelet dress from J. Crew. I figure I can wear it dressed for my sister-in-law's graduation next weekend, but also paired with a denim jacket and sandals for a casual night out this summer.
...Had my sister's family over dinner at our place, which meant I got to squish my niece Mae's chubby little cheeks one million times. Jeff loves Mae, which is so cute to see!
...Went out on a little date night to Ampersand. We don't often repeat restaurants, so a second visit is definitely a good sign. Another good sign is potatoes drowning in truffled creme fraiche. Plus, you know, it's really close to our house, which means I can wear really impractical shoes ;)
