This Weekend...

This weekend I...

...Had a little dinner date with Jeff to RPM Italian. We hadn't been in a couple of years, and it was just as good as I remembered! I mean, it's hard to say no to carbonara that's mixed tableside, am I right?!
...Went to a big fundraiser for the Kerry Wood Foundation and saw a bunch of the Cubs!! We went to the same event a couple of years ago and I remember only seeing a couple of players so my expectations weren't high, but this year they pulled out all of the stops! Just about all of the starters were there, with several of them hopping behind the bar as guest bartenders, and at the end of the night they all got on stage and sang "Go Cubs Go" - so cool!
...Drove out to my Grandma's house for dinner with the fam. She was away for Christmas this year, so we exchanged presents just, you know, a month late ;) I got her this gorgeous fur-trimmed blanket, and oh my gosh you guys, I want one for myself now. It's so pretty and cozy (plus it's currently on sale)!
...Had a movie night at home with Jeff and watched Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, mostly because we couldn't agree on anything else! I was expecting it to be bad, and I was really surprised because it was really funny. Definitely not a good movie but fun at least ;)
...Met up with some friends at Joe's for a couple of drinks and sports viewing (ahem: gossiping).
...And I'm still weekending! I had an unexpected long weekend (as in, I forgot about it until I looked at my calendar on Friday) so today I'm planning on relaxing and hopefully getting my office in order after a whirlwind of wrapping paper hit it this Christmas - wish me luck!
