...went out to dinner at Ora for some sushi! I usually go for the special rolls, but for some reason here all but one of the specialty rolls were filled with cooked fish - what? So I went for a sashimi platter instead and it was really good. We walked in without a reservation at 7:10 and got the last table, so definitely show up early - a herd of people showed up at 7:30 and all were waiting outside still when we left.
...also, semi-related, I left a hat at Ora (yes, it's cold enough for hats - so many sad faces) and came back an hour or two later after having a drink at Hopleaf. They hadn't found anything in the restaurant and I was so sad, only to walk outside and spy it sitting on a parking meter. What? Thanks to whomever left my hat for me to find! Definitely washing it before I put it on again though ;)
...got a ton in the mail from my emergency business-casual shopping binge last week, and luckily most of it is going back (because really, it turned out I didn't actually need most of the stuff I ordered). These velvet loafers did not make their way into my suitcase, but they are so cute I may keep them anyway!
...hopped on a plane for San Francisco! I'll be there for a week for work, but I did actually manage to schedule posts for Wednesday and Friday so be sure to check back later this week!
