Are you a bucket list kind of person?
I don't usually write out what I'd like to do each season, and my lack of organization leads me to forget to make time to visit a pumpkin patch every fall or to go sledding in the winter. So this summer, we're doing it. We're hitting all of the fun things to do in the city and not let the summer run away from us one weekend at a time.
- Have a Chicago beach day at Montrose Beach
- Grab sausages and enjoy the rooftop at Gene's
- Host a Fourth of July party for our friends and family
- Take Jeff up to my hometown for hot dogs and ice cream at the lake
- Go for a walk or bike ride down the lakeshore path
- Spend an afternoon at a street fest
- Go to an outdoor concert at Ravinia or downtown in Millennium Park
- Host a dinner party out on our balcony
- Go on a weekend trip to the woods
- Wander down the river walk and grab a glass of rosé at City Winery
- Get out on a boat ride on the river or in the lake
- Go to (a bunch of) Cubs games
- Take a walk on the 606 trail
- Explore a new neighborhood in the city and find some great patios
- Have a picnic date at the giant park in our neighborhood
Oh, and obviously if this is truly a bucket list versus a to-do list, make a friend with a boat!! Hahaha, the ultimate goal right there ;)
Tell me - what's on your summer bucket list? Am I missing out on anything?

These are all great, especially #12. Go Cubs! I love in Milwaukee so I try to see them every time they're at Miller Park. I've still never done the architecture boat tour in Chicago. I think that's a must do this year.
