This Weekend...

Oh hey there! I took an unexpected break last week - between throwing a baby shower for my sister in law and a Fourth of July party, plus squeezing in lots of family time while my brother is in town and, you know, working, I literally didn't have time! But now we're back, and I'm planning to have posts all week - or, at least through Wednesday ;)

This weekend I...

...Drove up to the suburbs to do some unexpected baby sitting for my niece Mae, and let me tell you, I blew an impressive number of bubbles during my hour of watching her ;) She wouldn't let me use the bubble gun. Rude.
...Had a birthday dinner for my dad with pizza from Silo, which is by far the best deep dish in the suburbs! We're a sausage pizza family but couldn't agree on what other toppings to get, so my mom got four different combinations!! Lollllllllll. I wasn't mad, because I got a little sausage, onion and peppers. Scientifically proven to be the best toppings.
...Went to my friend Marina's wedding on Saturday out at the Marriott Lincolnshire, which was so beautiful and one of the more amusing ceremonies I've witnessed. It was also so great to see all of my high school friends, they had me in hysterics all through dinner.
...Ended up snagging this fun retro rainbow striped tee and this pretty eyelet top in all of the weekend sales.
...Had our third annual "Family Day" at the Cubs game with my family and Jeff's, which included a lot of hot dogs and a lot of me holding Mae's popcorn so she could clap at every play hahaha. The Cubs ended up pulling out a W in extra innings, which was amazing because my brother claims he's never actually been in the stadium for the "Go Cubs Go" song before. Of course, in his words, "I've never heard this before, but it still doesn't need to go on for this long" ;)
